Suggested Guidelines for Nominating an Individual for a Student Choice Award
- For all nominees, this form will be the only point of reference when considering them for candidacy.
- We will not be considering any knowledge of the nominee outside of the information provided in the nomination form. This is to prevent any bias within the Campus Involvement Committee.
- Put effort into your nomination.
- Thorough nominations will allow the Campus Involvement Committee to select candidates more accurately.
- Student nominations submitted by faculty or staff member will be considered a higher ranking than those submitted by a student.
- Students are allowed and encouraged to submit nominations. This is just a suggestion.
- Faculty and staff nominations submitted by students will be considered a higher ranking than those submitted by other faculty or staff members.
- Faculty and staff are allowed and encouraged to submit nominations for their coworkers. This is just a suggestion.
- If the nomination requires a letter of recommendation, letters from someone other than the applicant will be considered a higher ranking than recommendation letters submitted by the applicant.
- This shows that the nominee is well-rounded and has multiple individuals who would recommend them.
- Nominations that are well-written and easy to understand will be considered a higher ranking than grammatically incorrect nominations that are difficult to understand.
The Student Government Association Campus Involvement Committee reserves the right to select candidates based on these guidelines and additional guidelines as set by the Campus Involvement Committee.
