Morehead State University has partnered with Barnes & Noble to provide you with all the required digital and print materials for your courses before the first day of class. This approach reduces the cost of course materials by eliminating the need to purchase them individually.
The Eagle Books program launches April 2, 2025.

Eagle Books is Morehead State's new, convenient textbook rental program that gives undergraduate students all the required textbooks, lab manuals, access codes, and e-books before the first day of class. All undergraduate students are automatically enrolled.

Before the first day of classes, you'll receive emails to your official MSU account with clear instructions on reviewing your course materials. You'll also have the option to pick them up, have them delivered, or access them online.

The University Bookstore provides a convenient package for physical books, as well as all digital materials. You'll access your required digital course materials through Blackboard. Your instructors will guide you on accessing the content for your specific courses.

The Eagle Books program is flexible.
Instead of buying your course materials individually, the cost will be included as a course fee of $25 per credit hour. This means you'll have access to all required materials without purchasing them separately. However, if this program doesn't suit your needs, you can still opt out and obtain the materials independently.
You can join or leave the textbook rental program each semester; however, students are still responsible for purchasing course materials and completing all assigned coursework.
