All undergraduate students are automatically enrolled in Eagle Books each semester.
Students can opt out of Eagle Books course materials but must still complete all assignments and obtain materials independently. Opting out removes the automatic charge and access to Eagle Books. Complete the opt-out process before the deadline. The opt-out deadline is the last day to add a class each semester.
You must make your final selection for the Fall semester by August 25, 2025.

Ready to decide?
To avoid any issues, complete these steps before the opt-out deadline. Then, visit the Eagle Books portal by Barnes & Noble to opt-out or opt back in.
Opt-Out Policy
- Opt-Out Option: Students can opt-out of purchasing Eagle Books course materials.
- Responsibility: Even if you opt-out, you must still complete all assigned work and obtain necessary course materials independently.
- Access: Opting out removes the automatic charge from your student account and revokes access to Eagle Books digital materials.
Opt-Out Instructions
- Access account: View your status at the Eagle Books portal.
- Select Opt-Out: Choose the opt-out option at the top of the page before the deadline. The last day to opt-out without charges to your account is also the last day to add a class each semester.
- Confirm: Confirm your choice in the popup message by checking the box and clicking confirm.
- Review Confirmation: Review the opt-out confirmation message.
Opt-Back-In Instructions
All undergraduate students are automatically enrolled in Eagle Books. If you opt out and change your mind, you can opt back in by the deadline (the last day to add a class each semester).
- Revert Decision: If you change your mind, you can opt back in before the deadline by selecting the opt-in option at the top of the page.
- Post-Deadline: After the deadline, you must acquire the materials independently.
