Domestic Trip Travel Insurance

All MSU students and participants traveling within the United States under the auspices of Morehead State University are covered under a participant accident medical plan provided by the Office of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS). This insurance provides excess medical coverage for a student/participant while attending or participating in a University-supervised and sponsored activity or function. The coverage will pay for copays, deductibles and coinsurance up to the maximum medical benefit. If a student does not have primary coverage, this plan will pay up to the maximum benefit as primary coverage.

There is NO cost to MSU departments and sponsored groups for the 2019-20 academic year.

Limits of Coverage - Maximum Medical Benefit $10,000; Accidental Death Benefit $50,000.

All trips must complete a Student Trip Insurance Form and submit it to EHS within 30 days of the trip.

All students must complete a Student Trip Waiver prior to departure for the trip.

Benefit claims are paid on a reimbursement basis and only after all other eligible insurance policies have determined their portion for payment.

Students traveling outside the United States go to International Travel Insurance.
