Planning, Performance & Effectiveness

Planning, Performance & Effectiveness leads and coordinates the University's strategic planning, institutional research, testing, assessment, and accreditation processes. Our primary responsibility is to serve as a University-wide resource that provides:

  • Timely and accurate information, analyses, and analytic tools to facilitate priority-setting, resource allocation, policy development, decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Leadership in the assessment of MSU's degree programs as well as the establishment of measures and expected outcomes for steady, campus-wide advancement.
  • Leadership and coordination of the University's strategic planning process.
  • Leadership and support in the SACSCOC program accreditation process.
  • Oversight of student testing including Praxis exams, the General Educational Development (GED) test, ACT residual tests, the College Level Examination Program (CLEP), Miller Analogies Tests (MAT), Compass exams, and distance learning.

PPE establishes University priorities, puts sound policies in place and manages resources wisely while monitoring our performance and results.
