Upon acceptance as a student or employee at MSU, you will receive an email with your username (Eagle ID) and initial password (Eagle PASS). This username and password will give you access to your email, Blackboard, and other student and employee services at MSU. Before you can access these services, you'll need to activate your account.

Morehead State University has enabled a new feature that allows all faculty, staff, and students to reset their university passwords using Microsoft. When you log into MSU systems for the first time after this change, you will see the following prompts to enter a secondary email to help with password recovery and reset. Please do not skip this step, as it could result in you being locked out of your account.

1. “More information required” – This screen tells you that additional information is needed. Click Next to proceed.

2. The next screen asks for you to enter a secondary email address you can access for password recovery. Please enter a non-MSU email address you know you can access and then click Next. Microsoft will send a secret code to that email address.

3. Log into your alternate email and open the email containing the verification code.

4. Copy the code & paste or type the code back in the Microsoft Office screen, then click Next.

5. The text box will confirm that your second email address has been entered successfully. Click Done to finish.

Faculty and staff can log in to Adobe Creative Cloud on their university computer or at adobe.com using their MSU credentials. Students can access Adobe Creative Cloud in on-campus computer labs and use MSU credentials. Once logged in, tools like Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, and more are available.

You can now access the Microsoft Office 365 Suite of tools, including 5 Terabytes of free storage, through the Microsoft Office 365 login page.

To access your MSU Email or Microsoft Office 365 applications, use the following steps.

1. Open the Microsoft Office 365 login page. Enter your Eagle ID in the email field.

2. Click the Next button.

3. Enter your Eagle Password in the password field.

4. Click Sign In.

5. Verify your identity using your stored phone number or your Authenticator app.

6. Microsoft Office 365 will be displayed. Use the left side navigation menu to select your desired Office 365 application. To access MSU email, click the Microsoft Outlook icon from this list.
