FAFSA Completion

MSU has been selected to participate in FAFSA early entry. New and current MSU students may complete their FAFSA early by following these steps:

1. Register with KHEAA (KY Higher Education Assistance Authority). You will need to do this even if you have already registered with KHEAA for Beta 2.
2. Make sure that you (student) and contributors (parents/guardians) have FSA IDs or create them at StudentAid.gov. If you have created your FSA ID, proceed to Step 3.
3. Register with Federal Student Aid.

To participate in early FAFSA access, complete these steps by October 28 at midnight. You must receive an email from Federal Student Aid confirming that you are approved for early FAFSA access.

Once you have completed these steps and received your confirmation from FSA, you can access your 2025-26 FAFSA on November 4.
