FAFSA Updates
As students begin to prepare for the 2024-25 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), there are a few significant changes to the form and process to be aware of. The federal government is rolling out a simplified FAFSA for the 2024-25 academic year, and we want to help you be ready.
New students: You are encouraged to apply for an FSA ID now or at least 3-5 weeks before completing the 2024-25 FAFSA because receiving your FSA ID could take that long. Although FAFSA availability is being delayed for the 2024-25 academic year, students can complete the form beginning in January 2024. We encourage you and your parent/contributors to complete the FSA ID now. Please review the 2024-2025 FAFSA Completion Guide for High School Seniors for additional information.
College students: We encourage you to complete the 2024-25 FAFSA as soon as it is available in January 2024. You must check your FSA ID to ensure you have not forgotten it and ensure your parent/contributors have not forgotten theirs.
