Cartmell Hall

With a wrap-around patio, a spacious first-floor lobby, and community-style bathrooms, this amazing hall encourages a sense of belonging and the opportunity to create life-long friends. This sixteen-story, high-rise, air-conditioned hall offers double and single spaces while housing 508 residents. Each floor is co-ed and has three elevators. This hall opened in 1969 as an all-male residence hall and was named in honor of Maysville native Dr. William H. Cartmell, former Chairman of the Board of Regents. During the 1970s and 1980s, many MSU fraternities had designated floors in Cartmell Hall.
