DISABILITY SERVICES STUDENT GROUP
Due to the confidentiality rules, we must follow, a person could spend their whole college experience without realizing they are not the lone student with a particular type of disability! To provide a way for students to meet and share common experiences, informal gatherings are occasionally offered, open exclusively to students registered with the DS office. These events are typically held in the evenings to avoid conflicts with class schedules, and you'll learn of any upcoming ones through email. There's no obligation and they are fun, so consider attending whenever the next one is announced.
SEED, which stands for: "Students Empowering Exceptional Individuals", is an official MSU student organization that can be re-activated whenever there is sufficient demand. The members serve as mentors to underclassmen with disabilities, as well as hosting fundraisers for various disability-related causes. SEED has a dynamic history on this campus and has been responsible for some highly creative and memorable programming. If interested in joining, please contact the DS office.
