SAFETY & EMERGENCY EVACUATIONS
If you feel your situation is life-threatening, you should call 911 immediately.
If the nature of your disability is such that you would require assistance to evacuate a building rapidly without using an elevator, you should inform each professor at the outset of each semester. You will also need to provide this information and a copy of your class schedule to the Office of Student Housing and Morehead State Police Department so that a rescue plan can be formed before a drill or actual emergency.
If your disability could potentially result in a medical emergency during class time, you should meet privately with each professor at the start of the semester to discuss how to best help you in such an event.
You may also sign up for safety, weather and emergency alerts via Eagle Alerts and download the LiveSafe app.
Students who experience an emotional crisis can speak to a professional counselor at the MSU Counseling Center. After office hours, contact the Morehead State Police Department at 606-783-2035, who will put you in touch with the counselor on call.
