Weather Procedures
All MSU severe weather announcements are sent via Eagle Alerts text message and MSU social media and are posted on the MSU website.
Weather info is also broadcast on WMKY 90.3FM, and television stations: WDKY (Channel 56), WLEX (Channel 18), WSAZ (Channel 3), WKYT (Channel 27) and WTVQ (Channel 36), WYMT (Channel 57) and sent to other regional media outlets. You may also call 783-INFO (4636).
If there is an active alert, it will play on other calling tree lines. When possible, the information will be available by 6 a.m.
Faculty, staff and students should use good judgment when there is inclement weather and contact supervisors and faculty as soon as possible if you have questions or are unable to travel.

REGIONAL CAMPUSES PROCEDURES
MSU's regional campuses are closed when the University is closed and follow the University schedule unless their host campus has a closure or delay:
- MSU at Ashland is on the campus of Ashland CTC and follows its plan for closure and delay.
- MSU at Mt. Sterling will follow the MSU plan for closure and delay. They will close or delay independently if there is a localized weather emergency.
- MSU at Prestonsburg is on the campus of Big Sandy CTC and follows its plan for closure and delay.
- MSU classes offered at the University Center of the Mountains will follow Hazard CTC's plan for closure and delay.
