Advising Center
The Ernst & Sara Lane Volgenau College of Education Advising Center serves students seeking teaching certification in early childhood, elementary, middle grades and/or special education at the undergraduate level. Advisors may assist you in deciding which teaching certification to pursue and class scheduling each semester. Advising is a crucial element in the successful completion of the Teacher Education Program (TEP) application process. Work closely with your advisor as you progress through your degree in order to stay up-to-date with changes in teacher education. In addition, regular meetings with advisors will allow you to know when to apply to the TEP and will help you graduate in a timely manner.
Education at the Regional Centers
The Volgenau College of Education at Morehead State University, in conjunction with the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS), provides access to teacher education programs for students in the Ashland, Prestonsburg, and Hazard areas.
