Testing Policies for Weather Delays or Cancellations
PRAXIS
If the University calls a WEATHER-RELATED DELAY:
- The time of the PRAXIS test will be when the offices are due to open.
- For instance, if the University is on a 2 hour delay, the new testing time will be 10 a.m.
- You are still advised to report to the testing center 30 minutes prior to the test time.
- We have been assured by ETS that in the event of a delay, any scheduled test taker that cannot make the trip to Morehead for the test due to weather or road conditions will be able to reschedule through Praxis without penalty or having to pay for the test again.
If the University CLOSES for the day, the Praxis test will be cancelled and test takers will be contacted by ETS to reschedule.
If there is NO DELAY or CANCELLATION called by the University, the Praxis will be held as scheduled at 8 a.m.
ACT-RESIDUAL
If the University calls a WEATHER-RELATED DELAY:- The time of the ACTR test will be when the offices are due to open.
- For instance, if the University is on a 2 hour delay, the new testing time will be 10 a.m.
- The ACTR test will be cancelled. Test takers will need to contact the Testing Center to reschedule.
- The ACTR will be held as scheduled at 8:30 a.m.
ALL OTHER TESTS
The Testing Center will open when University offices reopen after a delay, and conduct all tests that are scheduled for the remainder of the day. If your testing time was during the delay (for instance, your appointment was 9 a.m. and the University calls a 2 hour delay), contact the Testing Center to reschedule.
WHERE TO GET INFORMATION DURING A WEATHER EVENT
