Outdoor Adventures

Whether you want to go on a day hike or brave white water rapids, Outdoor Adventures can provide the equipment and skills you need.

Our trips are open to students, faculty, staff and the community for a discounted price. Our trained and certified staff will ensure that you have a safe and fun time on your adventure. We work with your schedule and provide all the transportation as well as all the gear that you may need. So if you are looking to check something off your bucket-list, stop by the Recreation and Wellness Center Outdoor Adventures Office.

Challenge Course

The Challenge Course is located right in front of the Recreation and Wellness Center and is open to students, faculty, staff and the community. This multi-level ropes course is comprised of both low and high elements designed to enhance your groups trust, teamwork leadership, communication and problem solving skills. However, our highly trained facilitators have the ability to tailor learning outcomes to your specific needs. Take the opportunity to come and climb on the Challenge Course without prior scheduling for a group on open climb dates. Bring friends, family or come by yourself for an unforgettable experience.

Equipment rental

The Outdoor Rental Center is located inside the Recreation and Wellness Center and provides students, faculty, staff and community members the opportunity to rent equipment for your own personal outdoor use. Whether you are hoping to go backpacking for a week or just lounge around in a hammock for a day, we have everything you need. Rental price list for a complete explanation of equipment pricing and then stop by the office and pick up what you need.

Equipment can be reserved in advance by calling the Outdoor Adventures rental center at 606-783-2083. Full payment is due at time of reservation. We welcome walk-up rentals on a first come, first served basis during rental center open hours.
