National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR)
NCUR is dedicated to promoting undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activity in all fields of study by sponsoring an annual conference for students. More than 3,000 students present their work in oral and poster sessions over two full days.

The next NCUR will be held April 7-9, 2025, in Pittsburg, PA.

Abstract submissions usually open in September.

Kentucky Academy of Science Annual Meeting
The Kentucky Academy of Science (KAS) is Kentucky’s statewide scientific society and has over 4000 members across the state of Kentucky. Their mission is to foster scientific discovery and understanding in Kentucky. KAS offers resources (workshops, grants, etc.) to students and faculty. Their annual meeting where students can present their work is held in November.

Research Experiences for Undergraduates
The National Science Foundation (NSF) funds research opportunities for undergraduate students through its REU Sites program. Students do not need to be enrolled at the host universities to participate and are granted stipends and, usually, assistance with housing and travel. Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
