Dr. Joel Pace
Dr. Joel Pace, director of the Eagle Scholars Program, was elected by the university staff to serve as the 7th staff regent on the Board of Regents.
Dr. Pace is a 5-time graduate of MSU. Pace has served in areas across campus from the Ashland regional campus, Enrollment Services, Financial Aid and Accounting and Financial Services over the past 28 years. Pace has chaired Staff Congress, served as a committee head, chaired most of the standing committees as well as served as state chair for a higher education professional development organization. He has completed leadership programs in Morehead, Ashland, and the U.S. Army Leaders Training Course at Ft. Knox. He has presented at numerous regional and state conferences on various student affairs and enrollment topics. He has served on the Governor’s Scholar selection committee for almost 25 years. He is the first regent to be elected from the Student Affairs division. He is serving a 3-year term through 2027.
Dr. Pace is married to Lora Pace, retired from MSU, and has two children, Bethany and Alex.
