Sanford Holbrook

Dr. Holbrook has a strong background in education, having previously held positions such as assistant superintendent, ATC principal, finance and federal programs director, CTE coordinator, and career and technology teacher.

In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the Buffalo Trace ADD Outstanding Community Leadership Award in 2017 and named the KEDC Superintendent of the Year in 2021. His involvement in educational leadership extends to serving as the Kentucky Educational Development Corporation's Board of Directors chairman and as secretary of the Kentucky Interlocal School Transportation Association.

Dr. Holbrook is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Kentucky Association of School Superintendents(KASS), the Kentucky Association of School Administrators(KASA), and the Kentucky Education Association(KEA). He was also a member of the Kentucky Soil and Water Commission from 2011 to 2015.

He holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from Morehead State University and resides in Mt. Olivet. His current term concludes in 2030.
