Graduation Requirements

ASSOCIATE DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

All associate degrees (Associate of Arts and Associate of Applied Science) require you to:

• Complete the required number of credits for the degree (e.g. 60 credits needed for 2010 catalog and later).
• Pass all required courses for the particular degree.
• Enroll and earn no fewer than 16 credits at MSU.
• Maintain a 2.0 cumulative and institution grade point average.

BACHELOR'S DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

All bachelor degrees (Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Social Work, and Bachelor of University Studies) require you to:

• Complete the required number of credits for the degree.
• Pass all required courses for the particular degree.
• Enroll and earn no fewer than 32 credits at MSU.
• Maintain a 2.0 cumulative and institutional grade point average.

Some programs of study may have additional program and/or grade point average requirements based upon accreditation standards and/or the catalog year that you are in. Students must review the requirements of the specific degree program to determine if there are additional requirements.

GRADUATE AND DOCTORAL PROGRAMS

The Graduate School maintains the requirements for graduate and doctoral programs, as these vary by program.
