What You’ll Learn in the Space Systems Engineering master's program

Through advanced study in satellite design, fabrication and implementation, you’ll learn through numerous hands-on experiences. You’ll also use MSU’s 21-meter tracking antenna to monitor satellites and spacecraft to collect data for research and development purposes.

What Makes Morehead State’s Program Different

MSU offers one of only a few space systems engineering degrees in the country, so you’ll earn a unique degree with plenty of hands-on learning opportunities that give you an advantage in a competitive job market. 

Admission to the Space Systems Engineering master's

You must be accepted for graduate study at MSU. Apply to graduate school.

In addition to meeting the requirements for admission to graduate study at MSU, students must also satisfy two of the following criteria:  

  • A minimum GRE score of 150 on verbal reasoning and 146 on quantitative reasoning, or 
  • Undergraduate GPA X GRE (verbal and quantitative) = 875  
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant area (aerospace engineering, space science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or closely related discipline.)
