Build Career Skills

Gaining experience as a student is essential to your post-graduation success. Earning a college degree is an accomplishment, but it does not guarantee a professional job. Employers want new hires to have relevant experience, so gaining hands-on experience is extremely important.

National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE) research shows that candidates with career-related experience receive more interviews, multiple job offers, and higher starting salaries than candidates without such knowledge. Some academic programs require experiential education for graduation, while others offer it as an elective.

Four-Year Plan

Becoming career-ready is a process that takes place inside and outside the classroom. Preparing for your future career requires time, reflection, and different experiences. Use our “Four-Year Plan” to guide your path to success from your first year through graduation.
