Admission to the middle grades MAT program
You must be accepted for graduate study at MSU.
In addition, you must:
- A 2.75 GPA earned in an undergraduate or graduate degree or a 3.0 GPA on the last 30 hours of credit completed, including graduate and undergraduate work.
- Successful completion of the Praxis Pre-Professional Skills Test or Core Academic Skills for Educators (CORE).
- The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is administered by the Education Testing Service. The minimum scores on the corresponding sections are 150 for verbal reasoning, 143 for quantitative reasoning, and 4.0 for analytical writing.
