Student Organizations

The Department of Biology and Chemistry sponsors a variety of clubs to help you connect with your fellow students. These groups allow you to get to know your classmates, provide opportunities to be involved in community outreach and public service projects, offer tutoring resources and more.

Chemistry Club

Members of the MSU Chemistry Club are also student members of the American Chemical Society (ACS). As a member, you will organize and participate in outreach activities at local schools, perform service functions such as tutoring in area schools, attend regional and national meetings of the ACS and attend recreational and informational events. You'll gain access to ACS job banks and have the chance to network with local industry leaders, professional school representatives and more.

Prae-Medicorum Club

Prae-Medicorum is for students interested in pursuing a career as a physician. This society of pre-medical students holds informational meetings where representatives of medical schools visit the MSU campus to describe their school and the requirements for entrance into their program. Other events include guest speakers from local medical centers and participation in service and medical-related community activities.

Tri Beta

The Tri Beta Club at MSU is a chapter of the National Biological Honors Society which promotes academic excellence, good community stewardship and unity among its members. At meetings, you'll discuss your interests, share career strategies, sponsor social events and plan outreach projects in the campus and regional communities.
